Joseph “Joe” F. Mullins is the founder and president of The Mullins Companies, the parent of Mullins Management Inc, Mullins Properties, and Mullins Sports & Entertainment. For over 10 years, Mullins has split his time between his home in Augusta, Georgia and his home in Flagler County, Florida. During his time in Flagler, Mullins has developed a deep passion for the area. He is committed to bringing businesses and community development to Flagler.
Born in Evans, Georgia, Mullins graduated in 1995 from the University of Georgia with a BBA in Business Management and a BA in Performing Arts.
Mullins was entrepreneurial from the start. In high school, he was president of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and held various roles in Jr. Achievement and 4H. He was a shining member of the junior varsity and varsity football teams. The best of sports and entertainment were fused when this gifted high school athlete started to foster his passion for theater arts. While attending the University of Georgia, Mullins worked as a news reporter for UGA’s radio station. Mullins also held various roles in theater, television, and film while at UGA. As the Director of the University Union, he was responsible for booking events and talent. The Fall Fun Fest, created by Mullins, was one of the most exciting events in the University Union’s history.
While at UCLA, he studied under Henry Holmes which allowed him to further develop his career as a world-renowned entertainment agent. Mullins merged his family’s real estate business and his professional entertainment career into a prospering empire in Augusta, Georgia. Mullins looks to make a similar impact in Flagler County by attracting business and community development to the area.
His company, Mullins Properties, owns and manages real estate across the Southeast. The team specializes in property management, restoration and development of commercial and residential properties, including apartment complexes, town homes and houses. Mullins has also developed and managed some of the largest shopping centers and outdoor amphitheaters in the country.
Mullins Sports & Entertainment facilitates exclusive experiences for corporations at events like The Master’s golf tournament and Super Bowl. In 2018, Mullins hosted the first ever Snow Fest in Flagler County. He also announced that he will host of “Live, Shop and Play” a Flagler-focused radio show on Saturday mornings on NewsRadio WNZF. The show will focus on what the county is doing to attract higher-paying jobs and what the county is lacking compared to what other places have in the works in order to be competitive.
Giving back is a big part of Mullins’ efforts in Augusta, GA and that will certainly be the same for his legacy in Flagler County. While he is busy building, developing, and managing his family of companies, Mullins’ leadership continues to help bridge the gap between the entertainment industry and corporations while he also continues to raise money for causes throughout the region. He is currently working with the Flagler community to develop a Flagler County Opioid Task Force.
Since 1998, Mullins has established and supported numerous charity events throughout his life. He gives back to causes, like “Shop with a Doc,” an event that reunites pediatric burn victims with their first responders and caretakers for a night of Christmas shopping. Mullins is also actively involved with Lady Antebellum and The Kelley Brothers celebrity golf tournaments, the Junior Seau Foundation, the Jason Taylor Foundation, and St. Jude Children’s Hospital Research. His role is to help establish relationships with large corporate donors and host events. Now in its seventh year, he created the Columbia County SnowFest. The events have created jobs and improved the quality of life for Americans across the Southeastern United States.
